Steve Landerman

Steve Landerman has nearly 35 years of experience providing government relations solutions for corporations, associations & non-profit organizations. As President of Landerman Management and as a Partner with Governmental Affairs Management, Inc., he has represented various interests before the Ohio General Assembly and the executive branch of state government.

He has successfully stopped costly regulations from being enacted, obtained state contracts for his clients, and improved the political environment for numerous industries.

In addition to leading his own government relations firm, Steve serves as Executive Director of the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, a non-profit association representing more than 400 orthopedic surgeons in Ohio. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named him Executive Director of the year in 2008. In 2020, the Ohio Orthopaedic Society became the first statewide physicians group in the country to partner with a private foundation to help combat the abuse of prescription drugs.

Steve began his career in state government as Gov. James A. Rhodes’ appointee to the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. As the Assistant Director, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of four offices throughout the state and more than 400 employees. He also coordinated the activities of nine divisions within the department to maintain uniform departmental policy, helped prepare biennial budgets and represented the department at cabinet meetings.

Prior to establishing Landerman Management Associates, Steve was Secretary-Treasurer and Director of Development of Shepherd Hill Corporation, a not-for-profit drug and alcoholism hospital located in Newark, Ohio. As a member of the organization’s first Board of Directors, he was instrumental in a fundraising drive that raised $3 million in private donations to build the 72-bed facility.

Steve is a founding member and first President of the Perry County Community Improvement Corporation. In addition, he is Past President of the Executive Board of the Columbus Club. He has been an officer in various civic associations, including Jaycees, Lions and Chamber of Commerce.

He has worked on campaigns at the local, state and national level for over 40 years. In 2016, Steve was awarded the States highest honor “The Executive Order of the Ohio Commodores” established by Governor James A. Rhodes in 1966. Steve earned a B.S. in Journalism degree from Ohio University.


Rachel Landerman

Rachel Landerman is the Vice President of Landerman Management Associates, a government relations firm founded nearly 40 years ago. Prior to working for Landerman Management Associates, Rachel worked at the Ohio Department of Education for two influential grant programs; the Straight A Fund and Community Connectors. Rachel served as an Administrative Assistant for the Straight A Fund and later as the Program Director for Community Connectors. As Program Director, Rachel helped over 200 applicants navigate the application process and then later assisted with budget management and program development. After leaving the Department of Education, Rachel wrote several grant applications for clients of Landerman Management Associates before becoming a Field Representative and District Grant Coordinator for Congressman Steve Stivers in 2019. During her time with the Office of Congressman Steve Stivers, Rachel assisted constituents, local governments, non-profits and business access grant funding and loan programs through the Federal Government from a variety of agencies. Additionally, Rachel helped Congressman Stivers write letters of support for proposals across the district. Rachel is excited to return to Landerman Management Associates as Vice President to help assist different organizations navigate funding sources through the State of Ohio and Federal Government.
